Welcome! Thank you for stopping by. I am a free-lance calligrapher in the Portland, Oregon area.

I’ve always been fascinated by hand-written letters. I picked up my first calligraphy pen in Jr. High, it was instant love. My first official calligraphy class was at Portland Community College, with Carol DuBosch. I took five consecutive terms of lettering, and continued to pursue calligraphy long after I had earned enough pre-requisites for my degree. 

In 2006, with the encouragement and blessings of the Portland Society for Calligraphy I relocated to London and studied calligraphy at Roehampton University where I earned a Certificate of Calligraphy. My time in London was invaluable. I was in the studio full-time, training in bookbinding, vellum preparation and stretching, raised gold-gilding, color theory, drawing basics, museum studies, drawn lettering, and of course calligraphy. I am back home in Portland, Oregon, and now, pen in hand, I go forward.
